“Caprica”: Kevin Murphy Signs on As Co-Executive Producer

According to Variety, former Desperate Housewives producer Kevin Murphy (who has a wide variety of projects in the works, including a collaboration with Smallville’s Tom Welling and a stage version of the film Heathers) is joining Caprica as a co-executive producer. Enthused Murphy, who is writing his first script for the show, “As a rabid Battlestar Galactica fan, it’s hard not to go in that writers room and not just grin ridiculously. These are the people who made the best TV show ever. To be able to be a part of the legacy of that show, I’d be willing to pay them for that.”
